I have less to say than someone who has had an operation. Would like to add, however, I found Mr.Lambert very charming and helpful in explaining what could, and could not be done with my shoulder. He recommended a painblocker injection, which I duly had....only less than 2 weeks in ,so far so good. I do feel if it should be necessary to have an operation, I would feel confident with Mr Lambert's care.

I have had consultations with Mr. Lambert and found him to be very reassuring and confident in his manner. He will give his experience with shoulders and advise in the best way forward for treatment. I eventually had surgery under Mr. Lambert and his Aneasthatist and all went to plan and I am currently recovering with Physio. Before I met Mr. Lambert I had seen 2 other Consultants for second opinion and both recommended Mr. Lambert for a Consultation I'm glad I did.

Mr Lambert is very patient and listens carefully. He tries to avoid surgery where possible.

Dr Simon Lambert was warm and welcoming. He gave me time to explain what my issues where and reflected back to me so he could make sure he understood properly. He took time to explain to me what he could do and how he could help me and gave me space and time to ask questions and reflect. What a wonderful man and doctor he is. I would definitely recommend him as he knowledge and professionalism is outstanding.

Profile

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
